Since
the inauguration of the Johnson-Sirleaf
led government in Liberia, the Vice
President, Dr. Joseph N. Boakai for the
first time visited the United States of
America. The visit, a private one, took
him to Iowa to speak at the general
convention of the Associations of Grand
Gedians in Americas. Though the Iowa
convention started a few hours late due
to the delayed arrival of the VP, he was
able to attend a Town Hall meeting with
Liberians and friends of Liberians in
the Twin Cities that was also delayed by
the arrival of the Vice President.
